Wicca: The Simple Truth

A person can study extensive and various sources in their research for the Paleolithic bridge to modern Witchcraft. But the simple truth is, it has not been found by anyone since the birth of modern Paganism. We know that pre-christian Pagan cultures existed, but the exact recipe for Witch's brew has been lost to the ages. Not to say that such a manuscript ever survived. The victorious who wrote history were usually of wealth or nobility, and their credibility at the time was not to be challenged. Paganism as we know it today is very young. With time and experience, it will gain wisdom through experimentation of herbs, crystals, meditation, etc. Our only hope of regaining the lost arts of the ancients is to continuously practice in the Craft through the various traditions passed on through Covens or family. When a spell is deemed successful, write it down and teach others, especially our youth. The most important thing to understand when practicing Paganism is that regardless of how young the Craft is today, it is rooted in Paleolithic times. The recipe may be different, but the taste is the same.
